Volunteer Voices: Terry H.

At Nourish Meals on Wheels, every delivery route tells a story. For volunteer Terry H, who serves clients along Routes 37 and 3, the experience has been a powerful reminder of resilience and gratitude.

Through his visits each week, Terry has come to deeply admire the strength of the people he meets.

“I’ve learned that no matter what difficulties our clients are dealing with, blindness, Parkinson’s, cancer, or simply the challenges that come with aging, they still maintain a positive attitude and truly appreciate our services.”

For Terry, volunteering has become more than delivering meals. It is about witnessing the determination, gratitude, and spirit of the people Nourish serves.

“I am blessed to serve them.”

Moments like these are part of what makes the Nourish community so special. Our volunteers bring meals, connection, and kindness to older neighbors across South Metro Denver, and in return they often find inspiration in the people they serve.
