April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and at Nourish Meals on Wheels, we are incredibly grateful for the dedicated volunteers who bring more than just food—they bring compassion, kindness, and a sense of family to those we serve.
For Kim, these volunteers have become so much more than meal deliverers.
"I’ve never really had anyone care for me like you do. You make sure I have something to eat and someone to talk to. It’s more than bringing me a meal; you’re just a family to me!" ~ Kim, 68, Battling Multiple Sclerosis
Living with multiple sclerosis presents daily challenges, but knowing that a warm meal and a friendly visit are on the way gives Kim peace of mind. Our volunteers aren’t just delivering food—they’re delivering compassion, consistency, and a sense of belonging.
As we celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Month, we extend our heartfelt thanks to every single person who gives their time to brighten someone’s day. Your commitment to service makes stories like Kim’s possible.
