May is Older Americans Month, a time to celebrate the contributions, wisdom, and experiences of older adults in our communities. And at 96 years young, Ellen is still teaching us all a thing or two about life, family… and poker!
For Ellen, every day is an opportunity to connect, share stories, and keep her mind sharp—whether it’s through a friendly card game or the meaningful visits from her Nourish Meals on Wheels volunteers.
At Nourish, we believe that staying independent doesn’t mean staying alone. A meal is just the beginning—it’s the conversation, laughter, and connections that truly make a difference.
As we celebrate Older Americans Month, we honor clients like Ellen who continue to inspire us with their resilience, wisdom, and joy for life.
