During Volunteer Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the incredible individuals who give their time to make a difference—like Russ, who delivers meals every Thursday as a Nourish Meals on Wheels volunteer.
After retiring from the post office, Russ found a new way to serve his community—by delivering meals, kindness, and connection to older adults in need.
For Russ, it’s not just about the meals. He values the conversations, the check-ins, and the relationships he’s built along his route. Taking the time to stop and talk, ask how someone’s doing, and make sure they feel cared for is what makes this experience so meaningful.
At Nourish, everyone cares about the people we serve—and volunteers like Russ bring that care to life every day.
💙 Join us in celebrating Russ and all the amazing volunteers who make our work possible!
