A Quarter Million Meals and the Moments That Mattered Most

In 2025, Nourish reached a milestone year, delivering more than a quarter million meals and countless moments of care to older adults across our community.

By the end of the year, 262,330 meals had been delivered, including 174,009 hot meals, 30,769 frozen meals, and 57,552 breakfasts. Each meal was prepared and delivered with consistency, dignity, and heart.

The numbers tell an important story, but the growth behind them is even more remarkable.

In our first year serving from our building at Broadway and Arapahoe, Nourish delivered 136,447 meals. Five years later, that number has nearly doubled. In 2025, our service expanded from 30 delivery routes to 55, bringing care and a familiar knock on the door to more neighbors across South Metro Denver.

What truly powered that growth was people.

Our longtime volunteers remain the heart of this work, and in 2025 we welcomed 214 new volunteers who brought fresh energy and compassion to our programs. Together they packed meals, delivered routes, assembled snack bags, and spent time connecting with clients who look forward to seeing them each day.

We also launched a new monthly Crafternoon program, where volunteers gather to create handmade tray favors and seasonal touches that bring extra cheer to our clients. In its first year, 226 participants joined in, adding small moments of joy to thousands of deliveries.

Behind the scenes, our team continues to grow alongside the mission. We recently welcomed Executive Chef Andrew Forlines and Manager of Volunteer Services Jeremiah Mora to the Nourish team. Their leadership is strengthening our kitchen, supporting our volunteers, and helping us meet rising demand with care, consistency, and quality.
